Catholics Must Evangelize the Culture
Being Catholic these days isn’t easy. That’s an understatement. Living out your faith in a society that mocks religion and with a mass media that is anti-Catholic can be difficult. But that’s what we’re called to do! The Gospel is life-changing and when we bring the light into the world, there’s no stopping it.
Evange… What?
Evangelization is a big word, but all it means is to share your faith with others. “How?” you might ask. You can preach and teach all day long telling others how they can better live their lives, but we here at Evangelize LA are firm believers that the best way to teach is by example. The way we live our lives—at work, at home, at school, at church—can have a profound effect on those around us, especially those closest to us.
Jesus didn’t just teach, but he practiced what he preached. Why don’t we do the same?
New Approach, Ancient Idea
Our goal is not to raise a million dollars to change the world. Nor is it to teach some revolutionary principles to make the world a better place. Evangelization in the Catholic Church is not a new movement or organization, it’s what calls us to live out the Gospel in our daily lives. Our goal here is simple:
“Bringing the Gospel to Life in the City of Angels.”
It’s what Jesus called us to do from the beginning. But our world is much different than it was in His days, especially here in LA. So why don’t we talk about new ways to share our faith with others? Why don’t we use new methods of communication to tell people about the love and mercy of God? Why don’t we think Jesus Christ is just as important—if not more important—to the people of our modern world than He was in His own time?

We’ve got a plan. We’ve got some good ideas. And we’re ready to tell you and show you how we can live the Gospel. Let us share our ideas with you about how you—and we—can bring about the Kingdom of God and become the “light” in a place that is full of darkness.
